Dr Spurlock is a board eligible psychiatrist and is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Missouri. He is a current member of the American Psychiatric Association.

He is originally from the Dallas area. He is married with three children and resides in the North Kansas City area. He enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities.

Dr. Spurlock received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco before moving to Kansas City and obtaining his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following completion of medical school, Dr. Spurlock attended the University of Kansas Medical Center where he completed his residency in General Psychiatry.

As a resident at KUMC, he had the opportunity to work with highly qualified academic and clinical specialists to develop his knowledge base and clinical skills. He was proud to be recognized, by the residency director, for his work ethics and compassion with his patients.

Dr. Spurlock joined Northland Psychiatric Specialists, LLC in June of 2006. He is currently accepting patients in the adult population ages 18 and up. He serves as a consulting physician for Liberty Hospital and North Kansas City Hospital.
