Dr. Meyer is board certified to practice psychiatry in the State of Missouri and is a current member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Meyer is originally from Iowa. He now resides in the Northland.

Dr. Meyer obtained his undergraduate degree in Zoology from Iowa State University before heading to Kansas City to pursue a medical degree from the University of Health Sciences-College Of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation, he completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. While at KUMC, he was elected Chief Resident of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was also honored with the Student Voice award for outstanding teaching abilities.

Dr Meyer previously worked at Osawatomie State Hospital and Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center prior to beginning in private practice.

Dr. Meyer began with Northland Psychiatric Specialists in July 2007 and is currently accepting patients in the adult population ages 18 and older. Dr. Meyer serves as a consulting psychiatrist for Liberty, North Kansas City and LTAC hospitals. He also sees patients at Cedars of Liberty residential care center. Dr Meyer is certified by the SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) to treat opiate addiction.
