Dr. Henson is board eligible in General and Child and Adolescent psychiatry by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Henson is originally from Kansas and now resides in the Overland Park area. She is currently married with one child and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Missouri.

Dr. Henson received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology at the University of Kansas. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center and continued there for both her residency in General Psychiatry and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. During her training Dr. Henson was awarded the Chief Resident position and the Baumhardt Award for her Senior Scholarly Project. Dr. Hensonis a current member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Henson began with Northland Psychiatric Specialists in August 2010 and is currently seeing child and adolescent patients ages 5 through 21 years of age and specializes in anxiety and depression. Dr. Henson also serves as a consulting physician at Liberty Hospital.
